The Meaning of Honey Fitz
In the 1960's during Kennedy's presidency, he renamed the presidential yacht "Honey Fitz." A lover of the sea, President Kennedy and his family would slip away from the White House to sail some of our favorite places like Cape Cod, Newport and Palm Beach. Jackie Kennedy spent some of her happiest moments aboard with their children, entertaining family and friends. Today, the yacht is over 80 years old, but remains an iconic piece of US history.
When coming up with a name, we were looking for something strong with a touch of femininity and a lot of meaning. We fell in love with the history behind the Honey Fitz and the memories made aboard her. We also love Jackie's classic beauty and style, which continues to be an inspiration generations later.
